Not So Wordless Wednesday and a March For Babies PSA

Why We WalkWhen you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten our babies. We’ve been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $2 billion to benefit all babies.

This year we will be walking on May 1st,2001.

This is why we walk:
Peyton: Born @ 27 weeks 5 days due to severe Preeclampsia and Hellp syndrome. weighing 1lb 15oz 13 in long.. PDA,IUGR, grade3 IVH, ROP, and many other issues. Peyton spent 66 long and trying days in the NICU. Came home with an Apnea monitor.
Olivia: Born at 36 weeks after mommy spent a long week on hospital bed rest. Also born due to pre-e. Delivered when the #'s started climbing again. 5lbs 10 oz 19 in long. Olivia came home with us! {because mommy begged} Olivia had hyperglycemia at birth and jaundice. the hyperglycemia went away before she came home but the jaundice was still present. Went away after lots of exposure to natural sunlight.

We walk for all babies. Hopefully they will all get the 9months they deserve.

If you don't want to donate to our family team, think about donating that spare change you find laying around. EVERY penny counts and goes towards new research so hopefully all babies can be born healthy
