Suza Hero Review And Giveaway

*Disclosure: Party of 5 received a sample in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.*

Whether you are a first time parent or a seasoned one, there is nothing more important to you than the safety of your children. Nap and bedtime prove to be one of the most nerve wracking times for parents. With the worry of SIDS and other dangers parents like myself are often on the hunt for a product that will give us some piece of mind.

Here's where the Snuza Hero comes in. Snuza are portable, easy to use movement baby monitors that attach to baby's diaper. They are lightweight and will alert parents in 15 seconds if no abdominal movement is detected.

The Snuza Hero Features:

No wires, cords, cables or sensor pads that could potentially harm baby;

Made with hypo-allergenic, medical grade plastics and more importantly does not send or receive radio frequency signals

Batteries are replaceable

Only weights 1 oz, making it the lightest monitor on the market

Even though Amelia is 17 months, I still can use the Snuza Hero on her with no problems. She has a terrible cold with a nasty cough so the Snuza Hero came at the right time. During nap I just turned the unit on, attached to her diaper and put her in for a nap. Thankfully we didn't have any alarms go off, but just knowing it was there gave me a little extra piece of mind.

My only complaint is turning the unit off, I couldn't figure it out at first so it kept beeping. To turn the unit off you hold down the power button and the mode button!

Here's how Snuza Hero works:

Hero detects even the slightest abdominal movement and will alert you if your baby's movements are very weak or fall to less than 8 movements per minute. If no abdominal movement is detected for a period of 15 seconds, Hero will gently vibrate. Often this vibration is enough to rouse the baby, and Hero will revert to monitoring mode. After three vibration/rouse incidents, the Rouse Warning will alert you when you’re baby's abdominal movements have stopped for 15 seconds on three occasions. If no further movement is detected for another 5 seconds, an alarm will sound to alert you.

I wish I had a Snuza Hero when Amelia was an infant, having one now is awesome but when she was little it would have helped ease my mind a little more.

The Snuza Hero will be available at Babies R Us in Mid March  2015 for $119.99

I love how easy it is to use, and that it alerts you if they stop breathing. It sounds like it would really help parents get better sleep without worrying!

I like that the Snuza tracks movement, but starts first with a vibration instead of jumping right into an alarm phase.

I like that something like this even exists. SIDS is something that no parent should have to experience and this tool will help to prevent it

I like that it gives parents a piece of mind. It is very nerve wracking with a newborn and anything like this that can help is a blessing.

I love how it alerts you after 15 seconds of no movement but does it in a gentle way. This would give me such a peace of mind that my baby is alright as I worry all the time.

I love that it's lightweight! Everything similar I've seen has been very bulky and heavy.
